BID Services

Supporting people who are deaf, hard of hearing, visually impaired or have dual sensory loss.

About us

BID Services is a registered charity (number 1053184) which provides specialist services for children, young people and adults who are deaf, hard of hearing, visually impaired or have dual sensory loss (deafblind). We aim to make a positive difference for the people we support and their families and carers by providing a range of accessible, specialist services, activities and opportunities.

We began in 1872 supporting Birmingham’s Deaf community and we now provide services across the Midlands and North of England. We always put service users at the heart of what we do and work in partnership with them to connect people to services, communities and activities, and to enable and empower them to live fuller, more independent lives.

Our Purpose "Working together to remove barriers and deliver services which enable and empower those who are D/deaf, hard of hearing, sight impaired, deafblind or have other disabilities to live full lives."

Our Vision "A society where everyone, whether they are D/deaf, hard of hearing, sight impaired, deafblind or have other disabilities can live full lives and experience a world without barriers."
